This policy explains what data Purser collects, why we collect it, how it's used and protected, and the choices and rights available to you. Please read it in full before connecting any account to Purser.
Purser ("Purser", "we", "us", "our") is an AI-native command center for e-commerce founders, operated by ODISION MACROMOAT TECH (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. Purser connects a business's revenue, marketing, cost, inventory, and cash data from across the platforms it already uses, reconciles that data into a single verified view, and helps the founder act on what it finds. It is provided to you (the "founder," "user," or "you") for use in connection with your own business.
This policy applies to the Purser web application at getpurserhq.com and any associated services, dashboards, or APIs we operate (together, the "Service"). It does not apply to third-party platforms you connect to Purser (e.g. Shopify, Google, Meta) — those providers have their own privacy policies governing your data on their platforms, and connecting them to Purser does not change your relationship with them.
If you use Purser on behalf of a company, "you" refers to that company, and you confirm you have authority to accept this policy and to connect the company's third-party accounts to Purser.
We only request the minimum access scope needed for each integration you choose to connect. Depending on which integrations you enable, we access and store:
We do not knowingly collect more data from a connected integration than is needed to compute the metrics and reconciliations the Service provides.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service, and preventing fraud), your consent (for optional features and communications, which you may withdraw at any time), and compliance with our legal obligations.
The Purser Finance Agent uses a third-party large language model (LLM) provider to generate natural-language answers to questions about your connected data. The Finance Agent does not invent figures: every number it states is retrieved directly from your own reconciled data through a fixed set of internal tools, and it will decline to answer if the underlying data isn't sufficiently complete or reliable. The specific figures and business question needed to generate a response are sent to our LLM provider; your full raw dataset is not.
Google Limited Use disclosure: Purser's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (including Google Sheets, Google Ads, and Google Analytics data) to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we do not use, transfer, or sell data obtained through Google Workspace APIs — including raw, aggregated, or derived data — to develop, improve, or train generalized or foundational artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Any use of an AI/ML model in connection with such data is limited to providing and improving user-facing features within Purser itself, for the connected business's own use.
We use a limited number of third-party service providers ("processors") to operate Purser. Each is contractually restricted to using data only to perform its function for us, and none are authorized to use your data for their own independent purposes. These include:
We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not share your data with anyone outside of operating Purser itself, except as described in Section 8.
Beyond the processors described in Section 7, we may disclose your data:
Purser is operated from India, and our infrastructure and service providers may process and store data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an equivalent standard of protection to that described in this policy, including through contractual safeguards with our processors where required by applicable law.
We retain your connected data for as long as your account remains active, so that historical reconciliation and trend reporting remain accurate. If you disconnect an individual integration, we stop syncing new data from it but may retain previously imported data as part of your historical records unless you request its deletion. If you close your account, your stored data is permanently deleted no later than 45 days after account closure, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain data (for example, financial records for tax or audit purposes, or data needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements). You may also request earlier deletion by contacting us at the address in Section 17.
For our Shopify integration specifically, we also automatically process Shopify's mandatory data-protection requests. If a customer of a connected Shopify store requests deletion of their data, or a merchant uninstalls our Shopify app, we automatically remove the customer identifier and shipping location fields tied to that request from our records — order revenue and product-level figures are retained for the merchant's own historical reporting, with the personal identifier removed. This happens automatically, in addition to the manual deletion process described above.
All data transmitted between your browser, Purser, and our servers is encrypted in transit via TLS/HTTPS. We store credentials for connected accounts securely and do not display secret keys or tokens back to you after initial entry. We do not implement auto-execution of financial actions (e.g. ad spend changes, payments) without your explicit, human confirmation. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account as a result of your failure to do so.
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, maintain session state, and secure the Service. We may also use analytics technologies to understand aggregate usage of the Service so we can improve it. Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before using non-essential cookies.
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for a specific data connection at any time by disconnecting it from your Purser dashboard.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 17. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request, and we may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or that we are not legally required to fulfil.
Purser is provided to help you understand and reconcile your own business data, but the Service — including the Finance Agent and any figures, insights, or recommendations it produces — is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You remain solely responsible for verifying any figures before relying on them for financial, tax, accounting, or business decisions, and for your own compliance with applicable laws and the terms of the third-party platforms you connect.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Purser and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this policy limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
This section is a summary for privacy purposes. Full terms governing your use of the Service, including additional disclaimers, indemnities, and limitations of liability, are set out in our Terms of Service, which take precedence in the event of any conflict on those matters.
We may update this policy as Purser's features evolve or as required by law. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email). Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
